Biography
Martin Eakes is the founder and self-styled patron saint of the Self-Help network of financial organizations, which includes the Center for Responsible Lending. Eakes and CRL proselytize against seemingly any form of lending not run through his Self-Help Credit Union or Self-Help Ventures Fund, both of which vigorously take their small borrowers to court when they are delinquent.
