Howard Phipps Foundation



Background
The Howard Phipps Foundation was established by Phipps' wife Harriet in 1967. Phipps was the youngest of five children of Henry Phipps, whose fortune was built through the ownership of Bessemer Steel. The Phipps family also owns the Bessemer Trust Co.
